Know your reality

Know Your Reality – Be Wise, Not Foolish!

Every creature has its own nature and limits within which it thrives. Birds are made to fly in the sky, while fish are meant to swim in the ocean. If a being tries to step beyond its natural boundaries, it soon exhausts itself and faces destruction.

The Story of the Nightingale and the Falcon

The nightingale (bulbul) is a delicate and melodious bird, known for its beauty and sweet voice. On the other hand, the falcon (shahbaz) is a powerful bird of prey, soaring high in the sky with unmatched strength. If a nightingale tries to fly like a falcon, it will soon tire and fall, for it lacks the endurance and ability to sustain such heights.

The same applies to life:
Those who fail to understand their reality and blindly imitate others often end up lost and broken.
Everyone has their own unique path and destiny, assigned by nature and fate.
Instead of trying to become someone else, focus on improving your own strengths.

The Deer and the Lion’s Watering Hole

A deer (hirni) is swift and graceful but fragile, while the lion (sher) is the king of the jungle and a fierce hunter. If a deer forgets its nature and approaches the lion’s watering hole, thinking it can drink water there safely, it will likely become the lion’s next meal.

This teaches us valuable life lessons:
Entering dangerous territory without thinking can lead to disaster.
Wisdom lies in knowing when to proceed and when to retreat.
Strength is not just physical power but also intelligence and caution.

Why Is Self-Awareness Important?

To succeed in life, we must understand our abilities, limitations, and surroundings. People who blindly chase after things they are not meant for often end up losing their true potential.

✔️ Recognize your strengths and choose your path accordingly.
✔️ Don’t waste time chasing unrealistic desires; instead, refine your actual talents.
✔️ Wisdom is not about fighting every battle but knowing which battles to fight and which to avoid.

Conclusion

"The nightingales that try to fly with falcons soon tire and perish, and the deer that drink at the lion’s watering hole do not live to see another day!"

This powerful statement teaches us:
✅ Understand your limits and grow within them.
✅ Avoid reckless decisions that could lead to self-destruction.
✅ If you do not recognize your reality, life will teach you the hard way!
