Foolishness in digital age
Foolishness in the Age of Science – Just Imagine What Happened 100 Years Ago!
We live in an era of scientific advancements where knowledge is easily accessible. Yet, the surprising truth is that even today, in this scientific age, people can be deceived effortlessly. If, despite the availability of vast information, people still fall for lies and deception, then imagine what must have happened 100 years ago when access to knowledge was extremely limited!
Deception and Foolishness in the Past
A century ago, there was no media, internet, or digital platforms to spread awareness. People relied on oral traditions, folklore, and religious or social beliefs to navigate life. This made it easy for them to be misled because:
- Limited Education: Most people were illiterate, which made them believe anything they were told.
- Lack of Scientific Knowledge: Since science had not advanced much, superstition, magic, and blind faith in myths were common.
- Exploitation in the Name of Religion: Many individuals misused religion to manipulate and deceive people, giving rise to false spiritual leaders and so-called miracle workers.
- Absolute Power of Kings and Rulers: Ordinary people could not challenge the decisions of rulers, who often kept them in ignorance and submission.
The Same Trickery Continues Today
Even though we now live in an age of science and technology, people still fall into traps—the methods have simply evolved.
✅ Fake News and Misinformation: Social media is flooded with misleading information, yet people believe and share it without verification.
✅ Conspiracy Theories: Many still think the Earth is flat or that the moon landing was fake!
✅ Online Scams and Fraud: Digital platforms are being used to lure people into scams, costing them money and trust.
✅ Propaganda and Brainwashing: Governments and media manipulate public opinions to serve their interests, shaping how people think.
Think, Learn, and Avoid Deception!
It is crucial that we use our intellect, question everything, and never believe anything blindly. If people were deceived 100 years ago, it does not mean we should allow ourselves to be misled today.
"If people can be fooled in the age of science, just imagine what happened 100 years ago!"
Think critically, seek knowledge, and never let anyone deceive you!
